Caves of Plakias

The Gonatos caves, an ideal little walk from Plakias for everyone.  Espevially early morning or close to sunset the views towards Plakias are stunning. Don't  forget a flashlight to get through the tunnel and mind your head. It started as brown coal mines. During World War II it got used by the Germans to refuel their subs.
